A Leader story from April 1, 1966, said Vineyard Methodist Church was erected in 1870. Construction began in 1870, and continued until 1873. In 1892, the building was moved a few feet to the west and an addition was built. A basement was constructed in 1917.

The final service in the old Vineyard building was March 27, 1966. A actual demolition date is not known, but is likely sometime in 1966.
